Questions we get most.

How do I know I have a hidden leak?

The usual signs are a water bill that rose with nothing changed, a meter that moves with everything off, a warm spot on the floor, the sound of running water at night and a stain that grows. The meter check on this site takes five minutes.

Will you cut into my floor or wall?

No. Detection is done from the surface. We mark the spot and write it down. Opening a floor or wall is a separate job you decide on after you read the report.

What does a visit include?

A meter check, a survey of your pipes with the methods that fit, the marks on your floor or wall, and the written report with photos. Repairs, opening walls or slabs and restoring finishes are not part of the visit. See how pricing works.

Will I get a price before you start?

Yes. We tell you the visit fee on the phone, before anyone is scheduled. A repair price comes in writing after the report, and work starts only after you say yes.

Do you come at night or on Sundays?

No. Visits run Monday to Saturday in the hours listed on this site. If water is running now and you can't stop it, close the main valve and call a plumber with a night line. We book you for the next day.

How long does a visit take?

Usually a few hours. A large house, a slab with several suspect lines or a yard line takes longer. We say what to expect when you book.

What if you can't find the leak?

Then the report says so, with what we checked and what we ruled out. The visit fee still applies, because the work was done, and we say that on the phone.

Can the report go to my insurance company?

Policies differ, so ask your insurer what it needs. Adjusters usually ask for the location, the method and photos, and the report lists all three. We don't file or argue claims for you.

Do you repair the leak too?

Yes. A licensed plumber on our team can repair it, or you can hand the report to any plumber you choose. The report is yours either way.

Do you pull permits?

Detection alone doesn't need one. For repairs that do, we pull the permit and tell you before work starts.

My house is old. Should I worry about the pipes?

A leak report is not a pipe-material test. Homes built before 1986 may have lead solder or lead pipes. We note the pipe material we see. We don't test your water; ask your water utility about lead.

Does anyone speak Spanish?

Julieta, Osvaldo and Gabriela do. Not every tech does, so tell us when you book and we send someone who does. The report can be written in Spanish.

What should I do before you arrive?

Read the meter and write down the time. Clear the area under sinks and around the walls we need to see. Take a photo of any stain. We call before we arrive.

What areas and hours do you cover?

Fort Bend County and southwest Houston, Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. The list of places is on the home page.
